Welcome to Sam’s Cello Studio, an inclusive community taking cello lessons with pedagogue Sam Araya. I specialize in making cello learning accessible and inclusive. As such, my students are of all ages, all playing levels, and all over the world. Wherever you are on your cello journey, you are guaranteed to find something to help you on your way.

Lessons

Suited to your needs as a cellist, lessons are available online as well as in-person in Malmö, Sweden. I teach adults and children as young as 4 years old at all playing levels. Whether you’re looking for an online cello tutor to advance your skills or want to start beginning cello lessons for yourself or your child, I am here to help you.

With Sam, I appreciate that his teaching focuses on building a strong foundation and that, as a complete beginner, I don’t have to devise my own cello curriculum.

Method Books

Designed for cellists with a broad spectrum of learning needs, Sam’s Cello method is available for both cello learners and private teachers. I have studied many different methods and these books are the result of years of studying, composing, teaching, and editing. Currently the beginner level books of Western Classical Music and Children’s Songs are available.

Sam is very personable and engaging and shares his love of cello with his students.

Free resources, including scales sheets, flashcards, equipment recommendations, a graded list of sheet music for cello by underrepresented composers, and sheet music published by Sam’s Cello Studio available for cello learners and teachers alike.
